This workshop is designed for those with basic painting experience. You will learn Master’s Technique oil painting in an eight-week sequence and with a focus on how to use modern materials to optimize your painting experience.

Shelley Irish has worked as a copy artist of the Louvre Museum in Paris. Sharing her experience, instructor Shelley Irish will guide you step-by-step through creating your own classically rendered oil paintings. Her goal for you is to remove the mystery and intimidation from your painting process and help you create art that looks like it was completed during the European Renaissance.

The Classes will begin by breaking down the technique into simple steps, practicing them on a small canvas. After some experience with the technique you will choose to work on and complete either a portrait, still life or landscape painting.

You may choose your painting subject from studio still life set-ups, photographs of master works or an approved photograph of your choice.
