We all have sad, unhappy, unfinished watercolors at the bottom of the pile, stored away, waiting to be rescued. These paintings that never satisfied us can be a great resource for learning, experimenting, or risking a new technique.
For the demo, participants are encouraged to bring an unhappy work. A few will be selected to show how you can use "bad" paintings to expand your creativity and end up with art works that satisfy you and interest the viewer!
While living and painting watercolors in Italy, Katherine had to make due with fewer materials, and started reusing old works . Experience this free demonstration as Katherine shares informal techniques to rework, sample, play with and use old works for new adventures . We’ll work with various mediums and collage.
This will be very entertaining; you are invited to bring an old work or two and follow along. There will be time at the end for questions.
