1 of 6 WORKSHOP-SUMMER DRAWING SERIES: Contour Line Drawing with SUE HESTON. Jun 11, 2016. 2-5pm

Summer Drawing Class-Week 1
CONTOUR LINE DRAWING
with SUE HESTON

6-WEEK WORKSHOP CLASSES
$180 for all 6 or $35 per class
Saturdays 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    NECESSARY MATERIALS
  • Black pen or marker
  • a spiral or tape bound (ie, no hardbound books) sketchbook between 9x12 and 16x20 depending on how large you like to work
  • If you want to work on expressiveness, I would suggest a pen and pad that are a little bigger than you usually choose.
  • A drawing board is optional. I like working with the sketchbook propped up in front of me. Check to make sure your sketchbook fits your board!! You can DIY one with a couple of Bulldog Clips or large Binder Clips and a thin, sturdy panel like thin foam core, rigid chip board or Ampersand Hardbord.

Pen suggestions that I like if you want to try something new:
  • Uni Ball Vision (waterproof)
  • Pentel Tradio (water soluble)
  • Fountain pens (Lamy, Pilot, Rotring)
  • Pigment marker pens (Sakura, Faber Castell - sizes from XF to bold "bullet" point)
  • Paint Markers (Molotow - 2 to 4mm sizes, but not the huge, drippy ones, please.)
  • Sharpie Markers - just be aware they will bleed through your paper
