David Lobenberg, MFA from UCLA and adjunct art professor at Sacramento City College continues to refine his high level of expertise in painting and drawing. He teaches, publishes and exhibits internationally.
In this one-day workshop, David will work you through the six primary skill sets of drawing he feels are essential to an artists' success: Angles, proportion (or size), position, contours, values, and shapes. Although David will demonstrate and discuss each skill set you will work through exercises designed to practice purposefully each one. The skill sets progress cumulatively, the new skill set refines the previous one. Supply lists will be added nearer to the workshop date.
* One Inexpensive 9 inch by 12 inch sketch pad
* One 8b to 9b soft drawing pencil (a soft office pencil will do)
* One kneaded eraser
* One hand or battery-powered pencil sharpener
* One ultra fine tip Sharpie pen or comparable brand
NOTE: David will also be bringing extra supplies, handouts for each of the six skill sets, and lots of learning tools.
