Explore the embellishment of a single letter!
A drop cap is a capital letter used to mark the beginning of a chapter, a paragraph, or important section. Drop caps are larger than the page's other text and therefore they drop down through several lines of text. Drop caps range from the graphically clean and simple to ornate and complete miniature works of art. No limit exists to the possibilities for creating drop caps.
Janice will provide a step-by-step process for firstly creating the drop cap letter and secondly embellishing it to express your ideas, personality, whatever you wish it to communicate!
This demo will provide an outline of drop-cap basics. Janice's follow-up workshop will give you the time to get a few drop caps under your belt and start your own drop cap alphabet. Janice hopes the workshop will start your creating "A letter a day!"
