ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS: Amanda will remove your fears about watercolour, forever. There are no official rules! There is only creation using suggested approaches. Her methods will show you that there is a difference between just a painting and a piece of art. The latter is memorable and what we should strive for. She will energize your work with light and dark, tone and colour and show you how to let go of your need and tendency to paint within the line. Her work is dynamic and she will break you out of your old patterns of being afraid to make mistakes, worry unnecessarily about going wrong, stop you from ruining a painting by over fiddling and give you insight and instruction on how thought, sensitivity, analysis of composition, use of the right colours, using light and dark, shadow and wash, passion and enthusiasm will change your life and make you an artist rather than just a painter. Her subject matter will include landscapes, seascapes, urban scenes, interiors, people, vistas, portraits, everything and anything. She is proficient in all subjects.

AMANDA'S ART: Amanda Hyatt is a tonal realist impressionist who paints in an alla prima style, being spontaneous, making every brush stoke matter. She sees light and dark as the main elements of painting and never paints within the line, making her paintings energised, full of life and never stagnant. Her mantra is that there are no rules except to create a piece of art rather than just a painting. She uses her Five Steps To Watercolour method which is based on composition, colour, tone, creating magic light and shade, and final pulling together. She is a zen artist working with instinct and intellect, sensitivity and thought, and with 35 years as a professional artist you will enjoy her progressive way of painting in watercolour.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Amanda Hyatt was born in Melbourne , Australia in 1953 and has painted professionally for 35 years. She has won many major awards multiple times, has had 34 solo exhibitions, two in New York, and has many media publications ( Flashart, The Artist (UK), L'Art de L'Aquarelle (France), Australian Artist, International Artist ) and DVDs ( Colour In Your Life, recently shown in the US). She has recently published a book " Watercolour:Tonal Impressionism" which is available as an ebook or from Apple iBooks. She teaches regularly in Europe, UK, China and Australia.
