1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Join award-winning Seattle Architectural Illustrator, Teacher, Author, and Urban Sketcher Stephanie Bower to learn her best tools and tips for travel sketching. Stephanie has traveled the globe and will share some of her sketches from last summer's trips to Europe and Asia, talk about the light and portable materials she uses to to create her on location sketches, and will provide a brief demo of her pencil and watercolor technique.
Stephanie has vast teaching experience including a decade at Parsons in NYC, UW and Cornish College of the Arts. She teaches perspective and watercolor workshops in Seattle and Italy, at Urban Sketchers symposiums in Brazil, Singapore and this summer in Manchester, as well as a popular online course "Perspective for Sketchers" on Craftsy.com. People from around the globe follow her work on the international Urban Sketchers blog, Flickr, and Facebook, and her book, the fourth in the Urban Sketching Handbook series, Understanding Perspective, will be out in June. She is also a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society.
