The HUMAN HEAD and FACE: INTENSIVE!

Are you scared to try and draw faces? Do you want to make a portrait of someone you love or care for but you're not sure how to begin? Anyone can draw the face! This workshop is designed to give you the knowledge and strategies to draw faces that look like the people you are drawing.
In this Intensive 1 day workshop, Julia will guide you through drawing the human skull, individual facial features and their placement. Finally, you will copy a master drawing as the method of using and putting into your skill set Julia's favorite strategies for seeing correctly and correcting mistakes! Julia will teach using charcoal as well as pencil on paper.
Julia Carpenter has drawn and painted the human head for 17 years. She holds a Masters Degree in Painting from Montana State University, Bozeman. She currently teaches at the Art Institute of Seattle and Kirkland Arts Center as well as Daniel Smith Artist Materials.
