Winsor & Newton Artists’ Water Colour offers a range of 96 unique colours and a wide array of mediums to help artists alter and enhance the characteristics of their work. The goal is to help everyone get the most out this wonderful medium.
These topics and any other questions you bring will be addressed, with all attendees receiving free watercolour samples at the conclusion!
Christine Hanlon is a working artist/teacher from the San Francisco Bay area, who has been part of the Artist Outreach Program for Winsor & Newton since 1998. She has been trained on methods and materials with Winsor & Newton in London, and has conducted technical seminars on color and paint at colleges and universities throughout No. California and the Pacific Northwest.
Her extensive resume includes invitational and juried museum and gallery shows, as well as traveling exhibitions. Her maritime paintings have received multiple awards in the Coos Art Museum's annual maritime exhibitions, including a Best in Show in 2008. Her urban landscape work was featured in the Artist's Magazine Competition Spotlight in September 2009. A cover image and feature article on her maritime paintings is published in the winter 2010-11 issue of Sea History Magazine. She received a BFA in Painting from RISD in 1976 and an MFA in Painting from the Academy of Art University in 1997, where she currently teaches at the graduate level.
