DRAWING: Six Week Drawing Class with Mary Shea
Mondays, January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th,
February 6th and 13th, 2012
5 pm to 7 pm

Do you love drawings? Do you want to draw what you love? Here is an opportunity to learn and practice the basics of drawing – or improve your drawing skills – in a supportive class environment.

Mary Shea teaches a drawing class for adults that is appropriate for beginners as well as people with some drawing experience who want additional instruction and practice. Every week there are different exercises focusing on the basic drawing elements: line, value, shape, space, and fun.

This 6 week session Mary will focus a lot on composition and ways to construct pathways through your drawings. You'll be working with pencil, charcoal, ink, and seeing how the materials affect compositional choices.

The above "drawing of the Asparagus, was done in an earlier class during a session devoted to using ink, focusing on line to build form. This is a great example of drawing's economy of means - with line alone, Achim has built rounded forms, a lovely wavelike movement of the asparagus, and depth." - Mary Shea.

Mondays, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
January 9th through February 13th, 2012
6 week class - $150.00
