October 2011 Schedule of Artist Workshops at the Seattle DANIEL SMITH Store

Here is our schedule for Artist Workshops for October 2011 at the Seattle DANIEL SMITH Store. These are usually 4 to 5 hour long "Hands On" workshops with the instructors demonstrating and teaching various art techniques. You will be creating during the workshop as you learn. The workshops have a fee, a supply list and require pre-registration to make sure you have a spot and to make sure workshops are not cancelled due to low enrollment. Mary will demonstrate ways to draw and paint with the ‘fragile’ medium of pastel - which in fact has great strength and stability of color. Students will participate in several exercises to experiment with marks and materials, using other artists' images. These fundamental concepts will then be applied to a longer drawing.
